The escalating tensions between Iran and Israel have led to the suspension of Austrian Airlines (AUA) flights until Thursday, April 18th. Long routes passing through Iranian airspace will be rerouted as necessary. The situation in the Middle East is being closely monitored, and the airline is in contact with authorities to ensure the safety of their passengers and crew.

Prior to AUA’s decision, its parent company Lufthansa had already canceled flights to and from Tehran in response to the rising tensions in the region. The recent increase in threats from Iran towards Israel, following a suspected Israeli attack on the Iranian embassy compound in Syria, has heightened concerns about potential conflict between the two nations.

In light of these developments, Israel has made it clear that they will not hesitate to respond to any perceived threats from Iran. The airline industry is taking precautions to protect passengers and ensure that flights are not put at risk as the situation continues to evolve in the Middle East.
