A special performance took place at a polling station in St. Petersburg on the night of the Russian presidential election on Sunday. Independent Russian media Astra has published what is believed to be a surveillance camera image from a St. Petersburg school that served as a polling place for the Admiralty district during the election.

The video shows a woman dressed in dark clothes walking on her knees into an empty room, in the middle of which is placed the ballot box of the voting station. The woman’s strange walking style may be due to the fact that she imagines that she will remain outside the surveillance camera image. In her hand, the woman has a bunch of white ballots, which she starts to put into the urn.

As she begins to drop the ballots into the urn, another woman sneaks into the room to help her fill it up. The police officer sitting behind a white screen with a window straightens up from his chair and leaves the scene after he sees this second woman entering. This second woman then fills up
