New Zealand’s provisional 15-man squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup has been announced, with Kane Williamson leading the team. The squad features experienced players like Tim Southee and Trent Boult, as well as Rachin Ravindra and Matt Henry, who have not previously played in a T20 World Cup.

However, Devon Conway was ruled out of the squad due to a thumb injury he sustained in February. Adam Milne is also unavailable due to ankle surgery, while Kyle Jamieson continues his recovery from a stress fracture in his lower back. Ben Sears has been named as the 16th traveling reserve in the squad.

Coach Gary Stead expressed his satisfaction with the inclusion of players like Henry and the promising form of Rachin Ravindra in the T20 format. He is confident that the squad has all bases covered and can adapt to various conditions in the West Indies, where the tournament will be held.
