New eyelash store targeted by arsonists in Kendall: Surveillance footage captures the horrific moment when two men broke into an eyelash business in Olympia Heights and set it ablaze. The incident occurred early Thursday morning at a store specializing in eyelash extensions, located on the corner of Bird Road and SW 97th Avenue.

The video footage shows critical moments leading up to the fire, including the two men inspecting the store before returning with a rock to break the glass. They then proceeded to throw gasoline on the building and ignite it, resulting in devastating damage to everything that owner Indira Ortega had worked so hard to build.

Ortega spoke to NBC6 about her suspicions regarding the identities of the arsonists but stated that she is currently under investigation. She mentioned that they have a potential lead regarding the individual responsible for destroying her business, which resulted in approximately $45,000 in damages.

Despite this setback, Ortega remains determined not to give up on her plans of reopening her business. When she arrived on the scene, firefighters had already extinguished the flames that had rapidly spread throughout the establishment while the suspects fled on a scooter.

Officials are actively investigating this incident, gathering evidence to identify and apprehend those responsible for this heinous act of vandalism.
