As the competition in the streaming industry continues to grow, Amazon is ramping up its investment in content and new employees. The company recently posted 255 job openings at Prime Video, with 100 of them located in the US. Despite cutting back on spending in other areas, Amazon is willing to pay up to $350,000 for top product and tech positions to expand its viewership and advertising efforts.

In 2023, Amazon spent a staggering $18.9 billion on music and video content, a 14% increase from the previous year. While many entertainment companies are cutting back on spending, Amazon continues to invest heavily in its Prime Video platform. Known for shows like “The Boys,” “Reacher,” and live sports programming such as NFL’s “Thursday Night Football,” Prime Video is expanding its offerings to attract more subscribers.

The job openings at Amazon range from program managers to software developers, with salaries varying depending on the position. Digital program managers can expect to earn between $64,200 and $245,000 per year, while software development engineers can earn between $115,000 and $223,600 per year. An advertising insights manager can expect to earn anywhere from $63,000 to $151,700 per year, with additional compensation and benefits not included in these figures.
