Gavin Shwahla, a storyteller, filmmaker, and conservationist, will be the featured speaker at this weekend’s Science Saturday event. The talk will take place on Zoom at 11 a.m., presented by the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences. With only a few more Science Saturdays left in the series before it concludes for the spring season, attendees are encouraged to register for the upcoming talks on April 20th and 27th.

Shwahla’s career journey as a biologist turned filmmaker and photographer will be one of the topics he discusses during his talk. He will share his personal journey overcoming fear and anxiety to live an authentic life, and provide examples of how inner healing can have positive effects on the world around us. Attendees can expect to see nature in a deeper way, remember the beauty of life, and discover the power they have to create the world they want to live in through rewilding their soul.

Science Saturday sessions are free to attend whether virtually or in-person, with a cap of 95 participants per session. To attend, individuals can register at lbifoundation.org/science or by receiving email notifications from LBIF sent to subscribers.
