On Monday, a business in Lehigh County was evacuated and a stretch of Route 100 is closed after the report of a suspicious package. The Ryder Logistics warehouse, where the package was reported, has been evacuated.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Nathan Branosky, the suspicious package was seen at the 8600 block of Congdonhill Drive in Lower Macungie Township at 1:30 p.m. Local roads, including Route 100 at Spring Creek Road, have been closed by Branosky as a precaution.

Capt. John Christopher of the Allentown Fire Department was called to Congdon Hill Drive to assist in the investigation by state police shortly before 2 p.m. Stay tuned for updates on this developing situation.
