229 Gifts on the Square is participating in the Fashion for a Cause event to support Memorial Hospital & Manor, which has reported a 30 percent increase in expecting mothers coming in to deliver. Renee Fisher, the director of branding, buying, and merchandising at 229 Gifts, shared that the store participates in the event to have fun, introduce their brand, do good for the community, and genuinely love the experience. Fisher is utilizing her fashion background to help fundraise for the community.

During this event, Memorial Hospital & Manor seeks to purchase two Panda infant warmers each costing up to $21,000 to care for newborn babies and maintain their temperature. The hospital relies on community support as they are in need of equipment to provide the best care possible for these babies. With an increase in expecting mothers coming to deliver at Memorial Hospital & Manor due to the closure of nearby hospitals’ labor and delivery departments, these donations will go a long way in helping them provide quality care for newborns.

Fisher previously worked in the fashion industry for 35 years before returning home and is using her experience to make a positive impact on her local community by supporting Memorial Hospital & Manor through this event. 229 Gifts will continue accepting donations for Memorial Hospital & Manor until March 31st demonstrating their commitment towards supporting newborn babies’ care in their area.
