The stock-price performance of Meta Platforms and Tesla has significantly impacted the change in wealth between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, with Zuckerberg now becoming the third-richest person in the world. This year, Zuckerberg has seen an increase of $47 billion in wealth, while Musk’s wealth has decreased by $55 billion, according to Bloomberg data.

Meta Platforms stock has risen by 43%, while Tesla shares have fallen almost 40%. Zuckerberg’s net worth of $175 billion is now slightly higher than Musk’s $174 billion, and this gap is set to widen as Tesla shares continue to decline. Despite their differing sources of wealth, both Zuckerberg and Musk have had public clashes in the past, leading to rumors of a cage fight that never transpired.

Zuckerberg’s wealth primarily comes from his ownership of Meta Platforms stock, where he owns about 13% of the company. On the other hand, Musk’s wealth is driven by various ventures, including Tesla, SpaceX, and X. Although Musk is still ahead of Bill Gates in terms of wealth, Zuckerberg is behind Jeff Bezos and Bernard Arnault.
