In Bavaria on Thursday, wintry weather is predicted with snow and slippery conditions in certain areas, while thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected elsewhere. The German Weather Service (DWD) forecasts snow and sleet in the mountains and higher lowlands, with temperatures ranging from four to twelve degrees across the region. The cool sea air from the north will bring these wintry conditions.

The snow and rain showers are expected to continue into Friday night, with the Alps anticipating five to ten centimeters of fresh snow above 1000 meters. The rest of Bavaria will experience some relaxation in weather conditions. Friday will start off with slippery conditions and temperatures between minus two and plus four degrees. Rain is expected to spread from the northwest during the day, with the snowfall limit at 600 to 800 meters.

On Thursday night, sleet led to four accidents on Autobahn 9 near Ingolstadt, with drivers losing control of their vehicles due to improper speed. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but property damage is estimated at around 60,000 euros. On Saturday night, wet conditions are expected with snow and sleet forecasted in the mountains and higher lowlands. The weekend will continue to be changeable and cool, with a mix of snow, slippery conditions, thunderstorms, prolonged rain, and strong winds predicted.
