The CHI Health St. Francis Foundation in Hastings, Nebraska has kicked off its annual ‘Ticket to Win’ fundraiser by selling tickets on Thursday. This fundraiser offers multiple prizes for participants to win with or without making a donation. The main event will take place on June 6 and is free to attend, while tickets are available for a grand prize raffle of $10,000.

The foundation supports emergency response efforts in smaller communities by providing new equipment. This support has helped save lives, and first responders are grateful for the foundation’s contributions. EMTs in communities like St. Libory have benefitted from the foundation’s donations, as they now have essential equipment like AEDs readily available in their cars for quick response to emergencies.

EMT Mindy Walters highlighted the importance of having access to necessary supplies in smaller communities, where resources and funding are limited. The ‘Ticket to Win’ fundraiser helps raise money to support these vital initiatives, ensuring that first responders have the tools they need to make lifesaving decisions in critical situations.

Melissa Griffith, the foundation’s director, emphasized the impact of donations staying within the community. Every dollar raised by the foundation goes directly towards supporting local emergency response efforts and healthcare services.
