The leaders of Vietnam and Laos, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Sonexay Siphandone respectively, recently met to discuss the importance of strengthening transport infrastructure connectivity and defense and security cooperation between their two countries. The meeting took place on April 22 at government headquarters in Hanoi during the ASEAN Future Forum.

The two leaders agreed on the significance of enhancing connectivity in various sectors such as institutions, finance, transport infrastructure, energy, telecommunications, and tourism. Vietnam is one of the top investors in Laos with numerous projects registered capital substantial amount in country’s economy.

Both nations collaborate closely in regional and international forums demonstrating their commitment to strengthening their relationship on multiple levels.
