However, after consulting with World Athletics and the Local Organizing Committee in Lima, USATF has confirmed that they will be sending a team to represent Team USA at the championships.

The full team announcement will be made after the USATF Under-20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
This decision marks the first time the U.S. will participate in the World U20 Championships since 2021 in Nairobi, Kenya, where they did not participate due to safety concerns and COVID-19. The U.S. will be hosting the 2026 World U20 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
