U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Nicholas Forster-Curnew, an independent duty medical technician with the Combined Joint Civil-Military Operations Task Force, recently provided a training session on Tactical Combat Casualty Care to Philippine Marine Corps Cpl. Reynaldo A. Castro and Pfc. Christian N. Crave at Davila Elementary School in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on April 21, 2024. During this session, healthcare workers and residents in Ilocos Norte were instructed on basic lifesaving skills such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation and tactical combat casualty care. The aim of the session was to enhance emergency care access and awareness among the participants.

Exercise Balikatan 24 is an annual training exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the U.S. military that aims to strengthen bilateral interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation that has been developed over decades of shared experiences.
