A new article that explores the connection between health care and daily life through the mysteries and wonders of the gut has been released. This episode of “What’s Health Got to Do with It?” from WJCT in Jacksonville features gut health experts who discuss common digestive disorders, the importance of “good” bacteria, and methods to promote a healthy gut microbiome.

Guests on the show include Dr. Jami Kinnucan, a gastroenterologist at Mayo Clinic, and Megan Riehl, a clinical psychologist and co-author of Mind Your Gut: The Science-Based, Whole-Body Guide to Living Well With IBS.

In addition to this segment, program host Dr. Joe Sirven leads a conversation with experts on the social determinants of health and how a care team model can address unmet medical needs within communities.
