Tulsa Tech’s Lemley Memorial Campus will host the first Annual UniteCare Conference on April 4th and 5th, brought to you by Patriot Family Counseling Services. The Community Collaboration Conference for mental health and caregiving professionals aims to provide attendees with best practices for mental health care through workshops and training sessions. This event is open to mental health care professionals, caregivers, and advocates who are committed to building a stronger mental health system in Oklahoma.

The conference comes at a time when over 592,000 adults in Oklahoma have a mental health condition as of 2021, but more than half are not receiving the help they need due to various barriers. Workshops at the conference will cover topics such as substance use disorders, self-care, and grief, offering local caregivers and community members a chance to collaborate on potential solutions to the shortage of mental health care providers in many Oklahoma communities.

The conference will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and is sponsored by Transformations, TulsaTech, Patriot Family Counseling Services, CREOKS, and the Mental Health Association of Oklahoma. Attendees can sign up for the conference through the channel 8 newsletter. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about mental health care and how you can make a difference in your community!
