The London’s Young Vic Theatre is set to stage the world premiere of A Face in the Crowd from September 10th to November 9th, with opening night on September 17th. Ramin Karimloo and Anoushka Lucas will star in this stage adaptation of the 1957 film that features a score by Elvis Costello and a book by Sarah Ruhl. Directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah, who is stepping down as artistic director of the theatre after this production, audiences can expect an unforgettable experience.

The musical has been in development for several years, with a reading held in New York in 2016 and Costello performing songs from the score since 2015. This highly anticipated production will feature lighting design by Jackie Shemesh, music supervision by Phil Bateman, sound design by Emma Laxton, and choreography by Lizzi Gee. Casting is done by Heather Basten.

A Face in the Crowd tells the story of a radio producer who gives a jailed drifter a chance on the airwaves, only to realize that it comes with unexpected consequences. Tickets are available for purchase on the Young Vic website, and audiences can expect a unique and captivating experience that will leave them talking long after the show ends.
