According to reports from Brittany Ghiroli of THE ATHLETIC, Ronald Acuna Jr. of the Braves is expected to sign with Rimas Sports but not as his agent. The agency, led by artist Bad Bunny, is facing disciplinary actions from the MLBPA. The exact reason for Rimas’ disciplinary action is unknown, but it has left the agency with only one certified agent, Michael Velazquez.

When asked about his representation, Acuna said he had not signed with Rimas yet but indicated that it was likely to occur. It is believed that Acuna is not signing with Rimas to be his agent, but rather to handle his marketing and off-field business. Acuna had previously worked with Xample for his marketing and branding, but they are not listed as his agent at the MLBPA. His previous representation was Peter E. Greenberg and Associates, who negotiated his contract extension. They were acquired by Rep 1 Baseball in February 2020.
