In Eugene, Oregon last week, a man named Shane Reimche had an unexpected brush with danger. As he entered a store, a 4-foot concrete saw blade suddenly broke loose from a nearby construction site and flew across the parking lot, narrowly missing him and embedding itself into the store’s wall.

Reimche described the incident as the closest brush with danger he had ever experienced. The terrifying event was caught on the store’s surveillance camera and quickly spread on social media. The store owner mentioned that the impact of the blade hitting the wall caused the entire building to shake.

The construction company responsible for the incident suspects that a loose bolt may have caused the blade to detach. This serves as a reminder of how quickly things can take a dangerous turn, even when least expected. Fortunately, Reimche emerged unscathed from what could have been a tragic accident.
