Two promising athletes, Woo Sanghyeok and Nozomi Tanaka, have been confirmed to compete in the upcoming Seiko Golden Grand Prix in Tokyo on May 19th.

Woo, a talented high jumper from Korea, has won bronze at the recent World Indoor Championships in Glasgow, adding to his previous title in Belgrade. He is no stranger to the Tokyo venue, having finished fourth in the Olympics previously. On the other hand, Tanaka, representing Japan, participated in the same event in Glasgow and finished eighth in the women’s 3000m. She has an impressive track record and has competed in various other events such as the 1500m at the Tokyo Olympics and the mile at the World Road Running Championships in Riga. Most recently, she finished seventh in the mixed relay at the World Cross Country Championships in Belgrade.

The competition promises to be fierce with notable athletes like Australia’s Brandon Starc, Joel Baden and Japan’s Tomohiro Shinno, Ryoichi Akamatsu and Naoto Hasegawa challenging Woo in high jump. Tanaka will be defending her title at Seiko Golden Grand Prix after her victory last year in Yokohama’s women’s 1500m event. Additionally, Ririka Hironaka will be competing for Japan as well as she was selected for women’s 5000m race.

Hurdles events will also feature exciting matchups such as Asuka Terada vs Masumi Aoki vs Yumi Tanaka for women’s 100m hurdles while men’s 110m hurdles will feature national record-holders Shunsuke Izumiya and Rachid Muratake who are set to make it a thrilling event with their skills on display.

Overall this promises to be a competitive event that will showcase top athletes from around the world competing against each other on one of Tokyo’s most iconic stages.

In conclusion, two talented athletes from different countries have been confirmed to participate
