Twitter, now known as X, is taking a proactive approach to combat ‘bots’ and accounts that violate their rules against platform manipulation and spam. The social network led by Elon Musk aims to create a safe space for users to find reliable information and express themselves freely.

To achieve this, X has introduced new features that limit post responses to verified users only. They have also launched an initiative to delete accounts that violate their rules about manipulated content and spam. The company is working hard to ensure that these accounts are removed accurately while casting a wide net to secure the platform.

Users may notice changes in their follower count as a result of this account cleanup. By removing accounts that do not adhere to the rules against spam and bots, users may lose followers. However, if a user believes their account was affected inadvertently, they can request an appeal of the decision through X’s help center on their website.

In its Spam Policy, X prohibits the use of its services for artificially amplifying or suppressing information. Actions that manipulate or hinder the user experience are also not allowed. The company has tried various methods in the past to stop ‘bot’ accounts and spam content but has recently decided to take a more proactive approach.

This new initiative by X is aimed at ensuring that the platform remains secure while providing users with reliable information and freedom of expression. It will undoubtedly have some impact on user counts, but it will ultimately lead to a more stable and trustworthy social network for all users.
