Two men were hospitalized and one was killed in a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning near Player’s Sports Bar and Grill in North Lauderdale. The incident took place near the 5200 block of North State Road 7, a location that has been the subject of shootings before, as reported by a nearby resident during an interview with NBC6’s Lena Salzbank.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, a call was received around 3:41 a.m. regarding the shooting. Upon investigation, detectives discovered that all three shooting victims had taken themselves to two local hospitals. Unfortunately, one of the victims was pronounced dead by emergency personnel. The other two men sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were receiving treatment.
