On March 26, a building located at 612 Main St. experienced a collapsed wall, affecting the business owners and tenants in the area. The east wall of the building, which houses Atomic Vapor, Creative Nails & Hair, and a second-floor apartment, unexpectedly collapsed.

The collapse has caused significant damage to the building and its contents. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The city is currently waiting for the owner and contractor to complete testing for the State before making any decisions about how to proceed with repairs or demolition.

Two GoFundMe accounts have been set up to provide assistance to those impacted by the incident. Shay Ardrey, the aunt of Aylie Horn, created one of the accounts for the couple residing in the collapsed apartment without renters’ insurance. The couple has to find a new place to live and may not be able to salvage their belongings.

Another account was set up for Atomic Vapor, owned by the Mendoza family, to help the business recover from its losses. This account can be found at https://bit.ly/43Fuflo. The community is rallying together to support these affected individuals and businesses during this difficult time.

The city administrator Ryan Stevens mentioned that they are closely monitoring
