On Friday afternoon, a tornado struck Garner Industries, a business located in northeast Lancaster County, while 70 workers were inside. The tornado struck the building near N 98th Street and Cornhusker Highway between Lincoln and Waverly around 3 p.m., causing the building to collapse with several individuals trapped inside.

Three workers sustained injuries and were taken to area hospitals, but are expected to recover. The remaining workers were transported to the Sandhills Global Event Center for safety. According to their website, Garner Industries is a plastic injection molding service that specializes in producing custom products for a wide range of industries.
