In Freiberg (Saxony), a man wearing a cap was caught on surveillance camera stealing a donation box intended for poor animals from a shop on Petersstrasse. The suspect is currently on the run and the police are actively trying to apprehend him. According to police reports, the man visited the shop on November 16th and engaged in a sales conversation with staff as a distraction before stealing the donation box containing several hundred euros meant for an animal shelter and zoo.

The suspect is described as being around 45 years old, 1.90 meters tall, and strong with a three-day stubble at the time of the crime. Despite efforts to track him down, he has successfully evaded capture so far. The public is urged to contact the police at 03731/700 with any information that may help lead to his capture.
