The Israeli defense industry is experiencing significant growth, with both major companies and smaller enterprises thriving. In contrast, France’s defense industry output is facing challenges, as the US rejects tests of advanced missiles and the Pentagon lifts restrictions on F-35 aircraft.

One company that has caught attention in the industry is Paytech Engineering in northern Israel, which has secured a significant contract as the exclusive representative of the Italian TEKNEL company. This agreement allows Paytech to supply operational vehicles to major defense companies in Israel. Additionally, Paytech’s involvement in providing critical components for security systems, specifically armored vehicles for on-call classes, has garnered recognition in the industry.

Another notable development is the Arbel computerized light weapons system developed by IWI Israel Weapons Factories, a part of the SK group. This system promises improved accuracy and efficiency in combat situations, featuring advanced features such as an electronic trigger mechanism, a computer-based platform, and a long-lasting battery.

However, not all countries are experiencing growth in their defense industries. France’s Minister of Defense has expressed frustration over the lagging production rate of the local defense industry and has threatened action if improvements are not made promptly. The country is facing logistical challenges due to conflicts with the Houthis, necessitating the accelerated delivery of missiles and ammunition.

In the US, delays in the launch of the new LGM-35A nuclear ballistic missile Sentinel ICBM suggest significant cost increases and potential project timeline shifts. Meanwhile, the Pentagon has removed restrictions on F-35 aircraft related to lightning storms, enabling flights in previously prohibited conditions.

Overall, while innovations in technology and production processes are driving progress in various sectors of the global defense industry
