As a talented track and field athlete, Gabi Chavez ’28 is thrilled to be joining the University of New Haven’s Women’s Track & Field team this upcoming fall. Her passion for forensic science has brought her to the University of New Haven, where she believes she will receive the academic excellence and athletic opportunities she desires.

During her visit to the University, Gabi was immediately drawn to the warm and welcoming community. The campus offered everything she was looking for in terms of academics and athletics. Her research led her to discover that the University of New Haven had a strong track record in both areas, making it an ideal choice for her future education.

Gabi was impressed by the coaching staff and athletic facilities at the University of New Haven. Meeting with them confirmed her excitement about joining the Charger family and fully immersing herself in both academics and athletics. She believes that this opportunity will help her achieve both personal and professional goals while also contributing to the success of the track and field team.

With fall just around the corner, Gabi is eagerly looking forward to officially becoming part of the Charger community. She is confident that this experience will help her grow as an athlete, student, and person while also providing her with valuable skills that will serve her well beyond college.
