Colorectal cancer was found to be a significant contributor to this trend, with the incidence of the disease rising significantly among people under the age of 50. Many of those affected have no apparent risk factors, leaving researchers puzzled as to the cause of this increase. It is important to note that a previous version of this article incorrectly stated that the study on cancers among younger people covered the period from 2010 to 2019. The study actually spanned from 1990 to 2019, highlighting the significant increase in cancer diagnoses among younger individuals over the past three decades.
