Husan Longstreet, a highly-rated quarterback prospect from Centennial High School in Corona, California, has announced his commitment to Texas A&M during a ceremony streamed on the 247Sports YouTube channel. Longstreet, who is ranked as the No. 28 player nationally and the No. 5 quarterback in the 2025 recruiting class, had finalists including Auburn, Louisville, Ole Miss, and Oregon before making his decision.

During a junior day event at Texas A&M in February, Longstreet got to meet first-year Aggies coach Mike Elko and his staff and was impressed with what he saw. His commitment to the program makes him the sixth prospect to join Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class and is considered a key addition to Elko’s recruiting efforts.

Evaluation from 247Sports’ Greg Biggins indicates that Longstreet has strong potential to rise even further in the rankings. He is praised for his quick release, arm strength, versatility in throwing angles, and leadership qualities. Despite being an out-of-state recruit, Elko’s recruitment of Longstreet showcases the program’s ability to secure top talent.

Longstreet finished his year with impressive passing and rushing statistics, solidifying his status as a promising quarterback prospect. His commitment to Texas A&M represents a significant addition to the program and highlights the ongoing success of their recruiting efforts. With his talent and potential, Longstreet is poised to make a significant impact for the Aggies in the future.
