Tadweer Group and British climate company Levidian have announced a partnership to work on international projects focused on removing carbon from waste. The partnership aims to accelerate the removal of carbon from landfill sites worldwide using Levidian’s “LOOP” technology.

The collaboration between Tadweer and Levidian is a significant milestone in addressing one of the greatest climate challenges of our time, emphasized Oliver Christian, the British government’s trade commissioner in the Middle East. Through this partnership, Tadweer’s commitment to the circular economy and Levidian’s innovative climate technology will create opportunities to convert waste into energy and extract value from waste not only in the Emirates but globally.

Ali Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and CEO of Tadweer, expressed pride in investing in Levidian and working to bring this technology to the UAE. He highlighted the importance of collaboration with like-minded companies to introduce advanced technologies and pioneer solutions that revolutionize waste treatment for future generations.

John Hartley, CEO of Levidian, stressed the urgency of addressing the climate challenge in the waste sector and highlighted the partnership with Tadweer as a way to support waste companies and governments in their efforts to extract value and remove carbon from waste.

The joint project between Tadweer and Levidian aims to complete more carbon removal projects in the UAE and beyond by utilizing a mobile system that can be scaled up or down depending on demand. The goal is to offer this technology as a scalable solution to address methane waste on a global scale while continuing to refine and develop it for future impact.
