Central Christian Church in Mt. Vernon has partnered with SSM Health to offer free general health screenings and discounted lab vouchers on April 27 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event aims to provide the public with more information about their health status, featuring blood pressure measurements, the distribution of free FIT kits for colon cancer screening, and an opportunity to connect with healthcare providers for advice and resources.
Attendees will have the chance to schedule appointments, discuss their health needs, and receive guidance on the next steps in their care. The partnership between SSM Health and Central Christian Church is aimed at benefiting the community by bringing healthcare resources closer to those who need them most.
Angie Lampe, director of surgical services at SSM Health expressed her excitement about working together with Central Christian Church to benefit the community. The providers from SSM Health will be present at the event to assist the 500 volunteers and members of the Mt. Vernon community who attend.
