During the Georgia Science Olympiad, Southeast Bulloch High School’s STEM Club clinched the Class A state championship. The competition took place on the campus of Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, and saw the club members excel in 14 out of the 24 individual events. They secured eight first-place finishes, two second-place medals, and four third-place distinctions.

Danielle Hibbs-Heiser, a science teacher at Southeast Bulloch and the STEM coach, commended the students on their remarkable achievement and congratulated them on their success in the competition. She said that it was an honor to see these young scholars work together to enhance their knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

The Georgia Science Olympiad is a lively and competitive platform for students to work together and showcase their talents and skills across different disciplines. Students in grades 3-12 are eligible to participate in various competitions throughout the school year. At this event, student teams from Southeast Bulloch High School excelled in a variety of categories. Their accomplishments truly highlight the dedication and hard work of these young scholars.
