To protect children’s health, it is important to limit or avoid certain foods before bedtime. One of the key culprits are drinks that contain caffeine, such as iced tea, milk tea, coffee, and energy drinks. These beverages can interfere with sleep due to their stimulant effect on the body. Sugary drinks like soda, fruit juice, and soft drinks should also be avoided before bedtime as they can lead to increased blood sugar levels and tooth decay.

Fried foods are another popular choice among children that should be consumed sparingly. While these dishes may taste delicious, they can cause digestive discomfort if consumed in excess. Chocolate and sweets should also be limited before bedtime as they contain caffeine and sugars that can disrupt sleep patterns. Fresh and dried fruits while healthy in moderation should also be consumed carefully as they are high in natural sugars and calories. Consuming too much fruit before bedtime can lead to digestive issues. It is recommended to incorporate fresh fruit into meals earlier in the day instead of snacking on them before bedtime.
