The Invisibility Shield Co has recently unveiled the second generation of their product on a Kickstarter funding page. This new generation includes the “Megashield”, the largest shield ever created by the company, as reported by Design Boom on March 27th. The shield comes in Mini and Full sizes as well.

The Megashield is made of a curved sheet of premium transparent polycarbonate that can be easily set up using a polycarbonate frame on the back. Inside the shield are a series of tall, thin lenses that diffuse ambient light reflected by the user’s body and the background scene. This creates the illusion that the user is blending into the surroundings, making them virtually invisible.

The shield works best when the user is wearing light-colored clothing and can be used for a variety of purposes, such as entertainment or observing wildlife. The Full-sized shield measures 99m high and 69m wide, while the Megashield measures 183 x 122 cm. The smallest Mini size is 30.5 x 20 cm, perfect for concealing small objects on a table. All three models are durable, lightweight, waterproof, battery-free, and made from 100% recycled materials.

After more than 4 years of research, the team at Invisibility Shield Co has succeeded in perfecting their optical technology to create a product that can make people and objects invisible in broad daylight.
