Shohei Ohtani, the Los Angeles Dodgers superstar and baseball’s only two-way player, has recently signed a deal to become the technology ambassador for Rapsodo. The company announced this partnership on Monday.

Rapsodo is a sports technology company that specializes in developing tracking devices which utilize camera and radar technology to help players measure hitting and pitching data. Their technology is widely used by many players and coaches in Major League Baseball (MLB) as well as in the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) league in Japan for player development and evaluation. Additionally, Rapsodo has a significant user base in the amateur ranks and in the sport of softball.

The company offers separate flight-tracking devices for both hitting and pitching, aiding players in refining their skills in both areas. In 2022, the company unveiled its Pro 3.0 model, a two-way device that combines hitting and pitching metrics into a single machine. This innovative product caught the attention of Ohtani, who recognized the potential benefits of this technology and agreed to partner with Rapsodo to serve as their technology ambassador.
