Bill Mack, a Social Studies Instructor at the Schuylkill Technology Center North Campus, was recently named the 2024 Elbert K. Fretwell Educator of the Year by the Hawk Mountain Council BSA. The award was presented to him at a breakfast held at the STC North Campus on April 26, 2024.

Shannon Brennan, STC Director, praised Mr. Mack for his exceptional teaching skills and his ability to inspire leadership in his students. She also highlighted his dedication to community service and leadership positions within the community. With sixteen years of teaching experience under his belt, Mr. Mack has made a significant impact on both the North Schuylkill School District and the Schuylkill Technology Center, where he currently teaches.

In addition to his role as an educator, Mr. Mack is actively involved in various leadership positions within the community. He has held positions such as District President and District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for the Pennsylvania Elks Association, as well as leadership roles in the Protective Order of Elks, Number 1533. He also serves as the STC SkillsUSA Advisor. Mr. Mack and his wife Holly are proud parents to their daughter Laynie.

Bill Mack has an impressive educational background with a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree from Bloomsburg University. Currently he is working towards his Principal’s Certification at Alvernia University.

With sixteens years of teaching experience under his belt , Bill Mack has made a significant impact on both North Schuylkill School District and Schuylkill Technology Center where he currently teaches.
