Scarlett Johansson is set to star in the latest installment of the popular dinosaur franchise, Jurassic World. This new movie is expected to see Johansson following in the footsteps of her Marvel co-star Chris Pratt, who led the previous films.

Pratt starred in the 2015 movie Jurassic World and its sequels, which brought back original cast members Sam Neill and Laura Dern, and collectively earned over $1 billion globally. The upcoming reboot will be directed by Gareth Edwards, known for his work on The Creator and Godzilla. David Koepp, who penned the original Jurassic Park film back in 1993, will write the screenplay for this new movie.

Aside from this project, Scarlett Johansson has been keeping busy with a number of other roles. She recently appeared in Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City and the comedy North Star. She is also set to star alongside Channing Tatum in an untitled romantic comedy set during the 1960s space race. In addition to these projects, Johansson will lead the TV series adaptation of legal thriller Just Cause, written by recent Oscar-winner Cord Jefferson.

The latest installment of the Jurassic franchise is highly anticipated by fans of the series and is set to be a major summer blockbuster in 2025 along with other big releases like Superman: Legacy and Mission: Impossible 8. With all the Jurassic movies combined, the franchise has grossed over $6 billion at the worldwide box office.
