The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) has once again earned its national accreditation status from the Public Health Accreditation Board. This recognition means that ADHS has met comprehensive national standards in public health practices, ensuring continuous improvement and evolution to better serve the communities it represents.

Jennie Cunico, Executive Deputy Director of ADHS, expressed pride in the department’s commitment to exceptional standards throughout Arizona. She also highlighted the fact that ADHS is not alone in this achievement as health departments in Maricopa, Mohave, Pima, Yavapai counties and Pascua Yaqui Health Services Division also meet these high standards.

Holding this accreditation underscores a dedication to improving public health practices and providing quality services to the communities they serve. With over 400 nationally accredited health departments, ADHS stands out as one of the distinguished organizations that have maintained this distinction since 2017.
