Samsung has announced an update to its security update policy that will extend support for Galaxy S20 and Note20 series mobile phones, providing an additional year of security updates. This change is part of the company’s commitment to providing long-term support and security for its customers.

Under the new policy, devices such as the Galaxy S20, S20 5G, S20+, S20+ 5G, and S20 Ultra 5G, which were released in 2020, will now receive quarterly security updates despite their initial support ending this year. Similarly, the Galaxy Note20, Note20 5G, Note20 Ultra, and Note20 Ultra 5G will also be included in the monthly updates.

This announcement reflects Samsung’s commitment to providing long-term support and security for its customers. Devices launched starting in 2019 will now benefit from up to five years of security updates under the new policy. This is a significant step towards ensuring continued security for Samsung’s customers even after their devices have reached the end of their initial support period.
