In light of a thorough evaluation and discussions with World Athletics and the 2024 World Athletics U20 Championships Local Organizing Committee (LOC), USA Track & Field has received confirmation that adequate safety measures will be in place at the event. Consequently, the decision has been made to send a team to represent Team USA at the Championships, which will take place from August 26-31, 2024, in Lima, Peru.
The well-being and safety of USATF athletes, coaches, managers, and staff are of utmost importance to the organization. USATF will maintain open communication with all stakeholders to ensure everyone’s safety throughout the event. The organization is committed to providing its athletes with the best possible opportunities for success as they pursue their goals.
