It appears that rumors are circulating that veteran cornerback Stephon Gilmore could potentially be making a return to the Carolina Panthers. According to recent reports, the Panthers have reached out to Gilmore about the possibility of rejoining the team.

Gilmore, who is currently 33 years old, previously played for the Panthers in the latter part of the 2021 season after being traded from the New England Patriots in exchange for a sixth-round pick. During his time with the Panthers, he appeared in nine games with eight starts, tallying 16 total tackles and two interceptions.

After his stint with the Panthers, Gilmore signed a two-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts and started in all 16 games in 2022. He was then traded to the Dallas Cowboys in 2023, where he started all 17 games for the team and played in 94 percent of the defensive snaps. Throughout his career, which included playing for the Buffalo Bills, Patriots, Colts, Panthers and Cowboys, Gilmore has participated in 165 games and accumulated 140 passes defended along with 31 interceptions.

According to Pro Football Talk (PFT), Gilmore currently holds the No. 51 spot on their list of the top 100 free agents available. This indicates that he is a highly sought-after player in the free-agent market and could potentially bring immense value to any team willing to sign him. With his experience and skills on
