The consumer price index in March 2024 saw an increase of 0.6% compared to February 2024, reaching 106.0 points on average. This was a slight rise from the 105.8, 105.5, and 105.8 points recorded for housing, fruits and vegetables, and energy respectively. Prices for miscellaneous items saw a significant increase of 3.5%, while clothing and footwear rose by 2%. Culture and leisure also saw a moderate increase of 1.5%, followed by healthcare at 0.5% and transport at 0.4%. On the other hand, fresh vegetables and fruits experienced a noticeable decline of 3%.
Over the past year, the consumer price index has increased by a considerable amount – around 2.7%. In terms of real estate prices, Haifa saw the most significant increase of 4.4%, followed closely by Jerusalem with an increase of 2.1%. The south of the country experienced a moderate rise of around
