The latest episode of “What’s Health Got to Do With It?” on WJCT in Jacksonville reviews the most important health news of the month. Some of the topics discussed by the panel of medical experts include the rise in meningococcal infections, tuberculosis, and bird flu as warned by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Nurses also discuss an increase in workplace aggression and violence, while doctors report a surge in postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome after COVID. Syphilis rates, particularly among infants, are also on the rise in the United States.

One of the highlights of the episode is the widespread shortages faced by Eli Lilly just a few months after the approval of the weight-loss drug Zepbound.
