Summer Health, a pediatric telehealth startup that offers a 24/7 messaging service for parents seeking advice on treatment questions related to breastfeeding, feeding issues, and minor health concerns, recently completed an $11.65 million Series A funding round led by 7wireVentures and Lux Capital. The company’s goal is to make access to pediatric care more convenient and efficient for parents, providing them with quick and easy-to-use services that can fit into their busy lives.

The funding round was also supported by Pivotal Ventures, a fund by Melinda French Gates, as well as existing investors Sequoia Capital, Box Group, and Chelsea Clinton’s Metrodora Ventures. Key individuals from the investing firms will be joining Summer Health’s board of directors.

Ellen DaSilva, the founder and CEO of Summer Health, stated her vision for the company: “Summer Health was founded to radically simplify access to pediatric care. Our 24/7 platform gives parents access to care that fits their lives in minutes from anywhere.” She added that the company aims to help parents make informed decisions about their children’s health, regardless of the time or location.

In addition to its recent funding round, Summer Health had previously raised $7.5 million in 2022 with support from Sequoia Capital, Lux Capital
