Ridgeleigh Terrace, the former home of inventor and businessman Charles F. Kettering, has been repurposed by Kettering Health leadership and physician leaders as the Center for Clinical Innovation. The space, dedicated to physicians across the system, is a hub for connection, collaboration and innovation that benefits patients and communities.

Kettering Health’s Acute Care President Daniel Wolcott discussed the legacy of innovation and meaningful care provided by the organization at an open house for physicians. Clinical providers can bring ideas, projects, and groups together in this space, drawing inspiration from Charles F. Kettering’s focus on creativity and progress.

Dr. Michale Lakes, an emergency medicine specialist with a focus on digital health and AI, and Dr. Harvey Hahn, a cardiologist focused on lifestyle medicine, spoke about their hopes for the innovations coming from this new center. Dr. Lakes envisioned it as a hub for creativity where change could be made for progress while Dr. Hahn hoped that initiatives introduced at the open house would fundamentally change how Kettering Health operates and delivers medicine, not only benefiting patients but also those who provide care.

Projects highlighted at the open house included high-tech AI initiatives, clinical informatics digital health solutions as well as lifestyle medicine programs aimed at promoting wellness for both patients and providers alike. Photos from the event are available here:
