The Mays Business School in College Station, Texas received a record-breaking $25 million donation on Friday from the Mays Family Foundation. This generous contribution is the largest single donation in the school’s history and will be used to support its expansion and improvement efforts.

The new building will accommodate increased enrollment and provide additional resources for existing programs. The ultimate goal is to position the school among the top business schools in the country and establish it as a leader in education.

During the announcement of the donation, Mays Dean Nate Sharp highlighted the importance of having top-notch students, staff, faculty, and alumni to achieve this goal. The support of the Mays Family Foundation and Lowry Mays will play a crucial role in shaping the future of business education at Texas A&M.

Lowry Mays’ daughter, Kathy Mays Johnson, and her granddaughter were present at the event to present the donation. Their commitment to Texas A&M and the Mays Business School was met with multiple standing ovations, underscoring the impact of their family’s contributions.

Texas A&M System Chancellor John Sharp and Texas A&M Foundation President Tyson Voelkel also attended the event, praising Lowry Mays’ philanthropy and vision for the future of business education at Texas A&M. Together, the Mays family has now donated a total of $72 million to Texas A&M, cementing their legacy as key supporters of higher education in Texas.
