In preparation for the expected 750,000 people coming to Mazatlán, Sinaloa, to witness an astronomical phenomenon related to the eclipse, the boardwalk in front of the beaches will be closed to vehicular circulation tomorrow. A large security operation involving 7,000 state security, Civil Protection, National Guard, Semar, and Sedena elements will be deployed. Gerardo Mérida Sánchez, Secretary of Public Security, specified that nearly 5,000 troops will be deployed in Mazatlán alone.

To enhance the observing experience of the eclipse in Mazatlán and other municipalities like Elota and Rosario, 250 thousand lenses have been distributed among visitors. Five urban sculptures have also been installed in the tourist area of the port to add a unique touch to the event.
