At WrestleMania 40, Drew McIntyre made history, but it was not the kind of history he had planned. The second night of the event saw a match between Seth Rollins and McIntyre for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Despite both men giving their all, it was McIntyre who emerged victorious after landing several Claymore Kicks. However, his celebration was short-lived as CM Punk appeared and surprised McIntyre with his biometric cast, blindsiding him and ending his championship reign in under five minutes.

As a result, McIntyre now holds the record for the shortest reign as WWE World Heavyweight Champion, a title he is likely to attribute to Punk’s interference. Meanwhile, Damian Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase and became the new champion. He was joined by his Judgment Day stablemates – Rhea Ripley, Finn Balor, and Dominik Mysterio – as they celebrated his victory, while Punk looked on in amusement.

Priest is from New York but originally hails from Dorado, Puerto Rico. He made his WWE debut in 2018, but interestingly enough, his on-screen debut actually took place back in 2014 at WWE’s Money in the Bank PPV, where he appeared as a security guard alongside Stephanie McMahon.
