On April 19, 2024, Higgins Elementary School hosted Science Day, inviting parents to join their children in the classrooms for an immersive experience. The event was organized in anticipation of Earth Day on April 22 and focused on interactive activities that aimed to strengthen the relationship with nature.
During Science Day, students at Higgins Elementary worked alongside their parents and friends to plant seeds, with each family able to take home their own seedling to care for and watch grow. This activity showcased the importance of nurturing the Earth’s valuable resources and highlighted the shared dedication of students, parents, and educators at Higgins Elementary towards a more sustainable future.
