This summer, visitors to Pittsburgh can enjoy a variety of free attractions, including the zoo, Carnegie Museum of Natural History, National Aviary, and Phipps Conservatory. The Allegheny Regional Asset District (RAD) has announced that from May to August, more than a dozen regional assets will be offering free admission to individuals with an Allegheny County library card and a reservation.
In addition to the popular attractions listed above, the Andy Warhol Museum, Children’s Museum, and Heinz History Center were also open for free last August. RAD received positive feedback from many individuals who expressed gratitude for the opportunity to visit these attractions without breaking the bank. RAD Board Chair Dan Griffin emphasized the importance of giving back to taxpayers who fund these projects by offering free admission days throughout the summer.
To access these free admission dates, individuals can visit RADPass.org starting May 1st. More offers will be added throughout the summer as part of RAD’s expanded Summer Staycation program. It is important for visitors to consider their neighbors by canceling reservations if they are unable to attend so that someone else can take advantage of this amazing opportunity.
